Our Story
Every great breeding program has a beginning. Ours wasn’t born from a business plan - it was born through unexpected hardship, remarkable dogs, and God’s faithful guidance.
Stolen Car—
In 2024, while building our forever home, we temporarily moved from the country into the city. As lifelong country people, we never imagined waking up to find our car stolen from our own driveway. In that moment, our sense of security disappeared. Feeling vulnerable, I began searching for a protection dog - and unknowingly started a journey that would change our lives forever.
Gunner—
At the time, we knew very little about responsible breeding or the Belgian Malinois breed. We found Gunner through a Belgian Malinois rescue and from the moment we met him, we knew he was special. Powerful, intelligent, and fiercely loyal, he quickly became far more that the protection dog I had been searching for - he became family.
Although Gunner was incredibly intelligent and deeply loyal, he had received very little early socialization or structured training. Working with him opened our eyes to just how important responsible breeding, early development, and thoughtful ownership truly are.
My husband and I immersed ourselves in learning everything we could about the Belgian Malinois - from training and behavior to genetics, health testing, and responsible breeding. What began as a desire to better understand our own dog quickly became a passion that would eventually grow into Guns & Glory K9.
Glory—
As our passion for the Belgian Malinois continued to grow, we knew we wanted to welcome another dog into our family. On July 1, 2025, Glory came home, and she quickly became everything we admired about the breed - intelligent, affectionate, eager to learn, and endlessly devoted.
Glory reinforced what Gunner had already taught us: exceptional dogs don’t happen by chance. They are the result of purposeful breeding, careful selection, and a lifelong commitment to doing things the right way.
A Heartbreaking Lesson—
As Glory grew and flourished, we began noticing that Gunner was slowing down. He seemed uncomfortable after exercise and struggled with pain in his hind legs. We hoped it was something minor, but the diagnosis was devasting. At just three years old, Gunner had severe hip dysplasia and advanced arthritis in both knees.
Watching such a young dog live with chronic pain changed us forever. We realized that while love and training are essential, they cannot overcome poor genetics. Responsible breeding begins long before a puppy is born. It begins with health testing, careful pedigree selection, sound structure, and a commitment to producing healthy dogs for generations to come.
Our Mission—
Guns & Glory K9 was born from both heartbreak and hope.
Gunner taught us what can happen when health and responsible breeding are overlooked. Glory showed us what is possible when purpose, temperament, and sound genetics come together. Together, they shaped our vision for the future.
Every breeding decision we make is guided by one simple promise: to place health, temperament, integrity, and purpose above everything else. We believe every puppy deserves the healthiest possible start in life, and every family deserves lifelong support from the breeder who brought that puppy into the world.
Our Promise—
We know we are at the beginning of this journey, and we don’t claim to have decades of experience. What we do promise is to earn your trust through honesty, continual learning, and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. Our goal is to build a breeding program known for exceptional health, stable temperaments, sound working ability, and lifelong support - one litter at a time.
Faith—
Our faith in Christ is the foundation of everything we do. We believe every puppy entrusted to us is a gift from God and every family deserves honesty, integrity, and compassion. Those values guide every decision we make at Guns & Glory K9.
